The PS3 Eye drivers are homebrew, and some have issues. There are two known sets of drivers, one works with OBS and has proper directshow data, the other does not. Not sure which though. You'll probably have to use 32bit, but 32bit is not that big of a deal. If you already own a PlayStation 3 Eye, then you do not need to buy a separate Web camera for your computer. Download the driver for the PS3 Eye from the Code Laboratories page (see Resources). Download the file under 'CL Eye Platform Driver.'
To confirm that I successfully connected PS3 on MACOS Big Sur 11.2.3 I simply copied the whole plist entry from my PS3 from the Catalina to Big Sur following the other steps as in the tutorial. This comment has been minimized.
